There is a certain art to making ID's. They need to look good, but not OTT. The printer that they are printed on also makes a big difference. I would not recomend even bothering to print them on a printer with a lower resolution than 360x360dpi

After printing the card needs to be sealed. Some of the cards here have a matching back. I recomend that you print these on 2 bits of paper and then stick them together as it is very difficult to line them up exactly by printing on the smae piece of paper on both sides. The card then needs to be sealed in plastic. This can be done in a variety of ways, the best is lamination, but short of buying the machine you mayfind it hard to get a shop keeper to seal it for you. The best thing to do is to buy a sticky self sealing wallet from a stationers. These cost less than 50p each and do the job almost as well.

When having your photo taken, if you want to look older it is best to wear a white shirt with a tie, (not your school tie). When attempting to use is (for novelty value of course), rejection is common, kick up a fuss and the shopkeeper will normaly think he has made a mistake and will serve you from embarassement.

Below are links to my cards, you can click on them to see what they look like but depending on your browser it is best just to right click on them and select 'save target as', then look at them off line. Beware that some may not display in your browser. Cards with a matching back, (although contaied in the same file) are market with a star.

Example - Same as the Blank below but with instructions for good placement of information.
Blank - Basic Outline, fill in the space.
PJC Soloutions* - One of the best, non-existant computer company.
Yealm Yacht Club* - Quality looking, you might want to change the name on this one.
Virgin Megastore* - Staff Card, you are a stock controller.
Southern Batteries - Pose as an engineer.
Plymouth Sound Radio - You're now the PR person.

All of these files have peoples names on them, purely for guidance, yo can print the out just like that, but it is easier to remember the details if you have your own name etc. I have excluded telephone numbers on most of the cards as this allows the shopkeeper to check on you.

Don't forget, please E-mail me your templates.
